Cosmetic Procedures >> FAQs

Why should I choose to have my surgery done in Brazil?

Brazil is recognised around the world for the professionalism and expertise of its plastic surgeons.

Furthermore, Brazil is second only to the USA in terms of the number of cosmetic procedures performed each year.

How can your prices be so low?
Our rates are exactly the same as they would be for a native Brazilian.

Thanks to the favourable exchange rate, this works out at between 50% and 70% cheaper than in Europe or the USA.

Depending on your treatment and travel options, this saving can cover the cost of your trip to Brazil.

Usually where multiple cosmetic procedures are selected, further savings can be made on top of this.

Will the language barrier be a problem?
We provide a personal assistant who will meet you at the Brazil airport and be available to you throughout your stay.

Our personal assistant speaks fluent English and will be happy to act as your interpreter.

What happens if I have to cancel?
If you decide to cancel after payment of your deposit, this cannot be returned.

If you cancel after paying the full fee but before traveling, you will be refunded less the deposit depending how close the cancellation is to your departure date.

Please refer to our terms and conditions.

What if I change my mind in Brazil?
If you decide not to go ahead with the cosmetic surgery procedure once you are in Brazil, refunds cannot be given as we have to pay your accommodation , flights and the Consultant/Clinic fees ahead of your departure.

What if the surgeon decides I am not suitable for treatment?
Before you make your reservation you will have provided us with your medical history together with appropriate photographs for review by our surgeon.

We will advise at this stage if you are suitable for treatment in advance of your trip to avoid this sort of situation.

However, in the un-likely event the surgeon decides not to proceed while you are in Brazil as a result of an unforeseen problem, we will review, on a case by case basis, the possibility of a refunding the cost of the treatment dependant on the costs we have incurred.

For additional information please refer to The Experience.

What happens if there are complications?
Under Brazilian law, you are required to sign an agreement stating that you are undergoing surgery of your own free will.

If any problem arises and the treatment needs to be changed, the surgeon will inform you of the options so that you will be able to make the best decision.

If you are in no condition to make a decision, the surgeon will discuss the matter with the person you have assigned as your guardian.

You will be kept informed at all times and, if necessary, Revitalise will offer you the possibility of asking for a second opinion from another professional.

What if I decide to leave South America earlier than recommended?
The surgeon will recommend a minimum period of recuperation in Brazil.

Should you decide to return before this, Revitalise cannot be held responsible for any complications which may arise.

What if I decide to stay longer in Brazil?
Please contact Revitalise so that we can assist you with any changes to your travel arrangements.

What about follow up care?
Most cosmetic procedures require no follow up care at all.

Our Surgeon would never let you travel unless he is entirely sure that you are ready to do so.

This is why we state a minimum length of stay, depending on your chosen procedure(s).

Post-operative consultation with our Surgeon is included in your stay.

We provide a personal assistant who be available to you throughout your stay.

What about medical insurance?
As a rule most cosmetic surgery is not covered by private health insurance or holiday insurance.

Please check with your health and holiday insurance provider to establish if they offer any cover.

We strongly recommend taking out health and holiday insurance.

What about my photos?
Before you make your reservation you will have provided us with your medical history together with appropriate photographs for review by our surgeon.

If you do not have a digital camera and the computer know how, you can forward your photographs via post or courier to us, please see Contact Us.

Your photographs are confidential.

We DO NOT publish before and after photographs on our website or share with any other third party.

For further information please refer to our section on sending a photo.

What about the confidentiality and privacy of my credit card information and medical forms?
You can pay the deposit and balance by a telephone credit card transaction.

Your medial questionnaire is confidential.

We only share this information with our Surgeon.

Am I safe in Brazil?
South America’s cities have a reputation of being dangerous, particularly Rio and San Paulo. Recife does not have such a reputation.

Whist it is wise to take reasonable safety precautions, using the cliché ‘don’t wear your Rolex to go to the beach, you are just as safe in Recife as you are in any other major metropolitan area in the developed world.

Petty crime does exist but it also exists where you live.

Brazil does have a wide economic divide between rich and poor, as such there is poverty and there are isolated incidents of crime.

As we offer a complete package Revitalise will do its best to ensure the physical safety of our clients.

As incidents can be exaggerated in the media, if you require further reassurances, we will give you the facts, straight.

The Holiday Experience

Revitalise will provide you with an inclusive holiday in a 5 Star Hotel in Recife, Brazil to accompany your cosmetic surgery for LESS than it will cost for the same procedure in the UK.
