What are the considerations?

• It can be painful. This can be relieved with analgesics.
• There is no guarantee of achieving perfect symmetry
• Adverse reactions to anaesthesia
• Although highly unlikely, there is a small chance of infection
• Pulmonary thrombosis – again this is extremely rare but should be noted as a possibility
• Severe bruising – this can be treated by drainage
• Temporary loss of pigmentation in the areas of skin treated
• Liposuction isn’t a permanent solution in itself. Healthy eating and exercise are necessary to prevent unwanted fat returning
